The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB), the organisation responsible for developing and promoting Sri Lanka\u2019s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry, has launched SL MICE Expo 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fifth edition of the flagship MICE event will take place in Colombo from October 5-9. The Expo is being organised in line with the SLCB Marketing Plan 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over 120 international hosted buyers and media representatives from 27 countries are expected to visit the Expo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme will feature a business forum exploring current trends and opportunities in the MICE industry, together with an inaugural plenary session featuring keynote speakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will also include a comprehensive business and networking programme comprising B2B meetings between international hosted buyers and Sri Lankan MICE suppliers to generate business leads, partnerships and future opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Networking events will provide opportunities for international and local industry professionals to build long-term relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Destination experiences will showcase Sri Lanka\u2019s tourism, cultural and leisure offerings, while familiarisation experiences will provide hosted buyers and media representatives with first-hand exposure to the country\u2019s MICE capabilities and destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event will serve as a marketplace where buyers and sellers can explore new products and services, exchange industry knowledge and identify opportunities for collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since its launch in 2021, SL MICE Expo has evolved from a virtual initiative into an international platform connecting Sri Lanka\u2019s MICE industry with global buyers, media representatives and industry stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deputy Minister of Tourism (Prof.) Ruwan Ranasinghe said the Government recognises the MICE sector as a key driver of tourism growth and welcomed SL MICE Expo 2026 as an important platform to showcase Sri Lanka\u2019s MICE potential to international buyers and media representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
