Sri Lanka Convention Bureau Enhances Indian MICE Engagement with Exclusive Networking Event in Bangalore, India
The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) successfully hosted a MICE Roadshow and Press Conference in Bangalore, India, on July 3rd, 2025. This event marked a pivotal milestone in Sri Lanka’s strategic efforts to position itself as a leading destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) travelers from India.
The primary objective of the initiative was to strengthen the long-standing ties between Sri Lanka and India while fostering mutually beneficial collaborations within the thriving tourism and MICE sectors. By targeting Bangalore—one of India’s fastest-growing Tier I cities and a major hub for corporate activity—the roadshow aimed to solidify Sri Lanka’s brand presence and appeal to high-potential markets in southern India.
The event showcased Sri Lanka’s vast array of tourism experiences, unique cultural and natural attractions, and significant advancements in its MICE infrastructure. It highlighted the island’s readiness to host world-class business events and promoted Sri Lanka as a year-round destination for both leisure and professional engagements.
The Bangalore roadshow followed the successful Hyderabad event held on July 1st, 2025. Across both cities, over 100 key stakeholders from the Indian travel trade participated. A strong 20-member delegation representing Sri Lanka’s travel and hospitality sector joined the events to engage in B2B networking and promote Sri Lanka’s capabilities as a premier MICE destination.
By strategically selecting Hyderabad and Bangalore—cities known for their robust corporate presence and dynamic business environments—SLCB reinforced its commitment to expanding its reach in key Indian markets. These initiatives are part of Sri Lanka’s broader marketing strategy to attract high-value Indian travelers and position the country as a top choice for MICE tourism.
