The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB), the national tourism organization responsible for developing and promoting Sri Lanka’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector, has officially announced the launch of SL MICE Expo 2026. The flagship event will gather more than 120 international hosted buyers and media representatives from 27 countries.
The sixth edition of this premier business event is scheduled to take place in Colombo from 5–9 October 2026. Organized in alignment with the SLCB Marketing Plan 2026, the Expo aims to build on the strong momentum of its previous editions and further solidify Sri Lanka’s position as a highly competitive and compelling destination for global business events.
Hon. (Prof.) Ruwan Ranasinghe, M.P., Deputy Minister of Tourism, stated that the Government recognizes the MICE sector as a key driver of tourism growth. He welcomed SL MICE Expo 2026 as a crucial platform to showcase Sri Lanka’s immense MICE potential to international buyers and influential global media.
Echoing this vision, Mr. Dheera Hettiarachchi, Chairman of SLCB, highlighted that the participation of delegates from 27 countries will create invaluable avenues for Sri Lankan MICE industry partners to forge international business connections, partnerships, and future collaborations.
