According to the Action Plan 2024, the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB)  organized a MICE Familiarization Tour from 5th to 12th September 2024 for Chinese Travel Agents personnel to promote Sri Lanka as a venue for MICE-destination. The fourteen-member delegation arrived on 5th September 2024, they are on tour exploring venues and attractions in key MICE destinations such as Colombo, Cultural Tringale, Kandy, and Down South.

The Delegation was given a comprehensive tour of BMICH and Colombo Port City and will get the opportunity to see newly opened venues in Colombo & Down South. The Familiarization Tour was organized with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Consulate in Shanghai and the Bureau will see the possibility of arranging similar tours from other provinces of China in the future.
