Buddhika Hewawasam, an experienced aviation and travel industry professional, has been appointed as the Chairman of both the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) and the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB).

In addition, Dheera Hettiarachchi, a specialist in tourism management, has taken on the role of Chairman for both the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (SLITHM) and the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB). Prior to this, Hettiarachchi was the SLITHM Cluster Head for Travel and Tourism.

These new appointments come in the wake of the previous Chairmen stepping down last week.
